I can now definitively say that the Granville Bank survived beyond any influence of Buffalo. Roop was bought out and asked to resign in 1837, Rathbun's stock was seized by the Bank in 1838 as part of an agreement to bring in outside investors (from Ohio), and the Bank was in continuous operation until February 1842.

Eventually, this will become an article for Paper Money, but probably not for a while, but I figured you'd want to know what had happened.

Also, I have a working theory as to how and why Rathbun picked Granville, but that will have to wait.
