Lately it has occurred to me that the field of Obsolete Currency, if the term is taken literally, includes currency issued by the colonies and by the Continental Congress when the colonies were fighting to gain and retain their independence from foreign governance and taxation.

When viewed in that light, Colonial and Continental currency are both a logical extention of an interest in obsolete currency.

Okay, I admit it... this is a specious argument at best, and I'm just looking for a way to justify the money I am starting to pour into this new found obsession. But if you bear with me, I think you will understand this new obsession... and perhaps share it with me.
