Discovered yesterday that I bought the only obsolete proof in the October Coin Gallery sale at Stacks. No picture offered, but here.s the description:

The Centreville Bank, Warwick, Rhode Island. Trio of rare notes

* Two Dollars. 1830s. Proof. Printed on India paper. Imprint of Rawdon, Wright, Hatch & Co. New-York. Top center, Justice and Ceres support shield. Washington and Lafayette portraits. Left end, pelican. Right end, Hope. Haxby RI-540 G16. Durand 2384. Rarity-7. Two mended from the back vertical tears. Faces up decently. Overall, Net Fine * Five Dollars. Dec. 1st. 1854. Issued Note. Red protector FIVE. Under curved title, startled white horse and boys. Portraits lower corners. RI-540 Unlisted protector style. Unlisted Durand. Upper left corner crudely patched back and large chunk patched bottom center, otherwise appearance of Very Good * Two Dollars. 1843. Spurious Note. Durand & Co. Top center, Ceres over title. Left end, farmer. Right end, Athena. RI-540 A25. Durand 2388. Rarity-5. Very Good. (Total: 3 pieces)
