As I am currently between catalogues to scan, I've been making numerous passes through the data trying to fill in any holes and clean up the data as much as possible. One thing struck me as interesting... the number of rows for which there was no reference ID.

Out of 13254 rows in the data, 963 are from institutions presumably not listed in Haxby. Of those, 517 ros also have nothing in the Alternate ID cell, and many more simply call out the fact that they are unlisted in the older state reference tomes (e.g. Hoober-Unl, Wolka-Unl, Wait-Unl, Wismer-Unl).

In short, at least 4% of the data I've collected doesn't have any useful reference ID number to key off of. Identification of these notes will be strictly by the description.

This strikes me as evidence that there are some pretty large holes in the reference tomes for obsoletes. It occurs to me to wonder whether the authors/publishers of those tomes might be interested in having information about those holes to help them in the effort to produce a more comprehensive reference. I'm thinking my next article should list these holes.
