EAHA in their auctions describe their proof obsolete notes with a special proof-rarity scale. I could never find the description of their scale and how it compares to the SPMC standard rarity scale until I ran across page 189 of their 8/29/09 auction. Their description is reproduced below.

The following figure shows a comparison between the EAHA scale and the standard obsolete scale established by the SPMC and used in most of the state specific catalogs.

As you can see the scales are very similar for R3 to R6. They basically split the SPMC R7 (1-5) into two, R7 and R8.

I did find it interesting that they have made an attempt to include non-1990 Christie proofs into their rarity scale and to adjust it for very poor copies.
