Today I stumbled across a very rare find in the Heritage auction. I was floored when I noticed it in the auction, because I've never seen an issued $2 note from the Bank of Knoxville before. Needless to say, I had to have it!

It was a bit pricey, considering the condition... but I have to take into consideration how long I've been looking for BoK notes, and this is the first issued demand note I've been able to snag.

As an aside, there were a lot of bargains in yesterday's sal. I noticed some very nice full color proofs going for a quarter of the price they would have drawn four years ago. I bid on a few just because it hurt to see them go (to someone else) so cheaply... but in the end, I only bought the BoK not and this proof (for which I paid $53 including premium). Arguably the worst condition note in my collection, but the price was too low to pass on.
